Food for a score!

I’m going to start off this post by being realllllly honest, I was never a ‘foodie’ or a huge fan of food, I ate to sustain myself and I would stick to what I liked when it came to eating out at restaurants. I actually feel sorry for some of my friends because we literally would meet up at the same three restaurants, I wouldn’t say I was a picky eater because when I ate at friends homes I would always enjoy the cuisines that was served to me, I’m definitely a home cooked meal lover.

The problem always began when I went out to eat with friends, sometimes the restaurants they chose were questionable in a polite way to put it and for some reason I never had a good meal no matter where we went. I feel really blessed and grateful that I’ve been welcomed in so many homes during my life of people from so many different nations across the globe and I’ve always enjoyed eating different home cooked cuisines.

I witnessed grown ups stretch money to make the most filling, flavoursome, fantastic food and there was somehow always enough to go round! In the past decade I’ve seen restaurants close down and new restaurants open all over London the city I grew up in and whilst some people enjoy fine dining in central, I want to show my friends that I really do believe that there are still authentic restaurants around that remind me of the homes I dined in, but also showcase the new spots that are finding a home on the high street.

So here’s to my new project ‘Food for a score’ (and maybe occasionally a little bit more) finding yummy meals that fill the tank but don’t break the bank!
